'I grew up in a small village called Fulenbach, located in the canton Solothurn. A few weeks before we left, I have finished my master in German and English at the University of Berne as well as the pedagogical education to teach these subjects in high schools. So before we started the trip, I worked as a substitution teacher in different high schools and gave private tutorials too.
As a welcome change from everyday life, I like playing the flute as well as the piccolo. It is due to that hobby I got to know Michi; we met when playing in the same orchestra. A further hobby of mine is doing sports. What I like best and do most often is jogging, cycling and hiking. In winter I do skiing and snowboarding with great excitement.'
'I grew up close to Basel, in Allschwil. After my apprenticeship as an automation technician, I started studying mechatronics in a trinational course of study. I graduated in January 2016.
With the same enthusiasm as I travel, I do music and sports; so I play the French horn in various bands and often go jogging or cycling. Moreover, I like being in the mountains; in winter I ski or snowboard, in summer I like doing trekking.
Before I went to university, I already did a cycling trip; in eight months, I pedalled from Basel to Hanoi together with my best friend Lukas (www.veloabenteuer.ch). Now, another travel dream comes true.'
